Gregg Alpert:

Gregg Alpert graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2000 and the University of Virginia in 2004. At Virginia, Gregg earned a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the School of Architecture and played tennis for the Varsity team. Following college, Gregg worked as an analyst for a large real estate development company in San Diego, California for 2 years. After extensive travels, Gregg settled in New York City where he currently structures financing for real estate transactions for Marcus & Millichap Capital. Gregg is also a 5th generation Denverite.

Jonathan Alpert:

Jonathan was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1998 and Emory University in 2002. At Emory, Jonathan earned degrees in Marketing and Consulting from the Goizueta Business School while playing baseball for the Emory Eagles. After college, Jonathan spent 1 year in Adelaide, South Australia pitching for the Port Adelaide Magpies where he finished his baseball career. Upon his return to Denver, Jonathan began his real estate career at SullivanHayes where he was a retail broker. After 2 years as a broker, he moved to the development side of the business. Starting with the DTC/Meridian Development Company and currently working for Shea Properties, Jonathan is responsible for all retail development with the company. Jonathan is an avid snowboarder and skier with a great love for the natural environment of Colorado. With a strong passion for Colorado, sports, the outdoors, the environment, and the growth of Denver as an urban epicenter, Jonathan is devoted to making sure that he leaves Colorado a better place than he found it!

Chuck Crichton:

Charlie “Chuck” Crichton is a first-generation Denverite. He grew up in Paradise Valley, AZ and graduated from Chaparral High School. Charlie then went to University of Arizona where he met fellow Blue Sky Members Ted Halaby, Brad Farber and Jordan Robbins. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 2003 with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. Charlie worked for a mortgage lender in Arizona for a year, but then decided it was time for a change and moved out to Denver for law school. Charlie graduated from University of Denver Sturm College of Law in December of 2006 and passed the Colorado bar in May, 2007. Charlie has been working as a Deputy District Attorney for Adams County since May, 2007. He recently got married in Denver on August 2, 2008.

Brad Farber:

Brad Farber was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1999 and then went on to the University of Arizona. After graduating from Arizona in 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science, Brad studied law at Benjamin N. Cardozo graduating in May 2007. Currently, Brad lives in Washington, DC where he works for Dewey & LeBoeuf in the securities litigation group.

James Flavin:

James Flavin moved to Denver in 1994 and graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1999. After graduation, James attended Babson College in Wellesley, MA where he was captain of the Men’s Babson Varsity lacrosse team and an active member of several organizations. He is currently working as an Analyst in the Structured Finance Group at CW Capital specializing in arranging highly leveraged bridge, new construction and mezzanine lending. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Flavin was involved in real estate development and commercial insurance in Denver, CO. James holds a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Babson College. He currently resides in Charleston, West Virginia.

Adam Groom:

Adam returned to his native city of Denver, CO in October of 2008 and is currently a sales consultant for Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, a diversified industrial company specializing in the manufacturing of mechanical and electronic security products. Prior to his return to Denver, he was an account manager for Ingersoll Rand’s New York City based security integration business from 2006-2008. adam graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2005 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. Adam has always recognized the importance of contributing to local charity and participating in local volunteering. His latest contributions include building homes for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley as well as teaching for Junior Achievement.

Ted Halaby, Jr.:

Ted graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1999 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 2003. Since graduation, Ted has worked in the Denver real estate market and in the capital markets and is now currently managing his own portfolio. Ted is a past board member of the Brokers Benefitting Kids Foundation and is currently living in Denver.

Jordan Robbins:

Jordan was born and raised in Colorado and joined many of the other Blue Sky members as students at Cherry Creek High School. From there, Jordan went to college at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ where he earned a degree in Finance from the Eller School of Business. After college Jordan returned to Denver where he started working in the Commercial Real Estate Industry and since 2004 has been working in the Denver office of Marcus & Millichap where he focuses on the sale of Multifamily properties throughout Colorado. Jordan was married in February of 2008 to Erin and they currently reside in the Denver area.

Aaron Rosdal:

Aaron Michael Rosdal was born at 7:02 a.m. at Rose Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was an interesting child because at the age of six he had more hair on his tuchas than on his head and had a nose that rivaled Ernest, from “Ernest Goes to Camp.” At the ripe age of fourteen, he was denied admissions to Kent Denver, but was accepted to Cherry Creek High School. Even though his ego was demoralized and his sense of self was flushed down the toilet, he still found a way to persevere at CCHS. After absolutely dominating high school, Aaron needed a new challenge, which was Emory University. At Emory, Aaron spoke at graduation, enough said. The last three years of Aaron’s life have been unpredictable and borderline outrageous. Aaron helped lead the Chicago Bulls to the ’06-’07 playoffs, he played professional baseball in Israel and he recently joined a Fortune 1000 company by the name of ProLogis. He is honored to be a part of such a wonderful organization and hopes his passion for philanthropy will transfer on too his peers.

Gregg Sciez:

Gregg was born and raised in Denver, Colorado attending Cherry Creek High School and graduating in 1997. From high school he went on to play baseball at Colby Community College in Kansas, receiving a minor in business. After Colby he transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he received his degree in Geography. Out of college he was hired on as an intern with ESPN, and also worked in the research and marketing department for Sullivan Hayes Brokerage. He now works for Ten Strawberry Street, a large importer of dishware located here in Denver. Gregg is actively involved in the Special Olympics chapter in Aurora, as both a coach and mentor for the kids. He also volunteers as a teacher in the children’s ministry at Rocky Mountain Community Church.

Matt Weiss:

Matt is currently living in Boston, MA working for a company called Chair 5 Restaurants, where he serves as Marketing Director in the company’s development of Qdoba Mexican Grill and Pollo Campero in the region. Prior to moving to Boston, Matt spent his first three years out of college working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. During the year, he manages Chair 5’s largest charity event, the annual Qdoba Rice and Bean Pot, which is an annual college burrito eating contest and battle of the bands that benefits the Cam Neely House for Cancer Care. His position at Chair 5 gives him a platform to work with many charitable organizations and he recently partnered with Starlight Starbright in New England to sponsor the StarMazing Scavenger Hunt Race across downtown Boston. Outside of work, Matt serves on the ADL – New England Regional Board and co-chairs the Glass Leadership Institute for the ADL, which is dedicated to developing youth leadership for the region. Matt received his BA from The University of Vermont and is currently attending Babson College part time in pursuit of his MBA.

Sam Zaitz:

Sam graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1999 and Colorado State University in 2003. Since graduation, Sam has been working as a Tenant Representation Broker at Staubach Retail in Denver, Colorado. Sam is the Co-Chair of the International Council of Shopping Centers Next Generation Committee, he sits on the Downtown Denver Partnership, he is a board member of the Brokers Benefiting Kids Foundation, and he is a board member of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization.

Zachary Zucker:

Zach was born in Denver Colorado at Rose Hospital. Zach has two older brothers, Edward and Brett. Zach attended Cherry Creek High School and excelled at football and baseball throughout as well as being named team captain in football. Following High School, Zach attended the University of Oregon where he walked onto the football team. After one year Zachary returned back home to the University or Northern Colorado in Greeley. Following college, Zachary made a decision to take a job in the family import business where he was involved in sales. Zach currently runs the family business, Ten Strawberry Street, which imports dinnerware, flatware and glassware and he currently resides in Bonnie Brae.
